What immediately stands out about Mineral Mining Simulator is that the gameplay can be quite relaxing. Collecting minerals and upgrading your machines gives a sense of progress. You notice yourself slowly getting stronger and gaining more capabilities within the game. This ensures that you keep wanting to play a little longer to unlock new upgrades. It is also fun that you can discover for yourself how to make your mine as efficient as possible. For players who enjoy building and automating at a leisurely pace, the game certainly has potential.
The game's graphics are fine. It doesn't look super modern or special, but it fits well with the type of simulator it tries to be. The environment and machines are clear enough, and the game's performance is generally good. I experienced few bugs or freezes while playing. That is positive, especially since many smaller simulation games often suffer from technical issues. Furthermore, the music and sounds are quietly present in the background, creating a relaxed atmosphere during gameplay.
However, Mineral Mining Simulator also has a major problem, and that is the explanation. At the beginning of the game, you receive hardly any information about exactly what you need to do. Many systems are not explained well, forcing you to figure out a lot on your own. For some players, this might be fun, but for many, it actually causes confusion. Sometimes you don't know which machine you need or how certain parts work together. As a result, you lose interest more quickly because you are spending more time searching than actually playing.
Additionally, the game lacks variety at times. After a while, gathering materials and upgrading feels very repetitive. There should be more quests, goals, or special events to keep the gameplay more interesting. As it stands, you sometimes get the feeling that you are repeating the same things without really discovering anything new. That makes the game less fun in the long run.
Despite these shortcomings, I don't think Mineral Mining Simulator is a bad game. The idea behind the game is good and it certainly has potential. Especially if the developers add more tutorials and further expand the gameplay, this could become a much better simulator. At the moment, it is primarily a game for players who are patient and want to discover how everything works for themselves.
